Chromatograms of the fatty acids from wild-type Chlamydomonas reinhardtii cell extracts after γ-irradiation obtained through gas chromatography (GC). Mock, control; GR1, GR5, GR10, and GR20 represent γ-irradiation at a dose rate of 1, 5, and 10 kGy h−1 for 1 or 10 kGy h−1 for 2 h, respectively. Cell extracts were prepared via sonication and heating in 100% (v/v) ethanol, methylated to produce fatty acid methyl esters, and used for GC–MS analysis.
